My search ended when I came across the Alippo app through Facebook. The first course I started was soap making, and I'm now learning formulations for hair and skin. I am a homemaker from Kundapur, Karnataka. I have completed my 3 years of a Diploma in Fashion Designing and an M.Com. I stay with my husband, 12-year-old son, and in-laws. As I am very interested in making and selling handmade soaps and cosmetic products, I started joining online classes related to making handmade cosmetic products that were taught by certified formulators and instructors and started to make and give the products to my family, friends, relatives, and neighbours. I started getting good reviews on the products. So I thought of turning this into a business and started selling the products. Now I feel proud to say that I am running a small-scale business of home-made, handmade soaps and cosmetic products all by myself under the brand name Imperial Cosmetic Hub. Last but not least, I'd like to thank the Alippo team because I've learned a lot from Alippo's courses and am excited to learn even more in the future.

My name is Simran. I'm pursuing a postgraduate degree in MBA from Indore while also working. I love to explore and learn new things. Once I was doing a search and suddenly struck up with an idea to start my own business. I never thought of making something a year ago; I assumed I could just resell it and profit from it. I was working on that and think I should start reselling products on Amazon and Flipkart. And one day while scrolling through Instagram, I came across an advertisement for Alippo, and I thought about taking a perfume-making course with Alippo. I never stopped learning from Alippo. I tried a lot of times to apply for GST, but due to some property tax paperwork, I wasn't able to register it. At that time, I prepared myself and started marketing my products on Instagram and Facebook. In October, I started and created an account on Etsy, and it took a lot of time for that as well to get me registered. And I'm now registered with it, but I began with a small and a large goal. Lip balm, lip scrub, lip butter, and lip oil are currently on the market. Not getting many sales and still working on it to make it good and, most importantly, give beneficial products to customers.

I’m a soapmaker and homemaker. I keep experimenting with food, DIYs, gardening, and skincare products. I stumbled upon a video on Facebook that showed how soap can be made at home with variations. This got me interested in learning more about the process and I went on to take more courses on soap making, including Alippo courses. I got my brand name registered and started a small business on Instagram.

Eventually, she dropped out of work and became a full-time home baker with the help and support of her parents and sister.
