How To Make No- Yeast Bread
Estimated time of making: 45 minutes
No yeast bread is a type of bread that is made without the use of yeast as a leavening agent. Instead of yeast, no yeast breads rely on other ingredients and techniques to make the dough rise and give it a light, airy texture. Some common methods for making no yeast bread include using baking powder or baking soda as a leavening agent, using other fermented ingredients like sourdough starter or yogurt, or simply using the steam from the oven to help the bread rise. No yeast breads are a good option for those who are allergic to or intolerant of yeast, or for those who want to make bread without the need for special ingredients or the time required for the dough to rise.
Bowls, Spoons, Loaf Mould, OTG
1 cup milk, 2 tbsp butter, 3 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted. Remove from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it gently for a minute or two until it comes together in a smooth ball.
Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes, or until it is golden brown on top and sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
