Missionstartab is a new Amazon Prime series that starts on December 19th. It follows the journeys of 10 new-age entrepreneurs as they present their startups, face obstacles, and strive to secure funding from investors Kunal Bahl, Anisha Singh, and Manish Chowdhary. The show's goal is to uncover and support India's emerging and most talented startups. Let's meet the three judges of the series here.
Kunal Bahl
Kunal Bahl, a prominent figure in the tech industry, co-founded AceVector Limited, an umbrella organization for Snapdeal, Unicommerce, and Stellaro Brands. He is also a co-founder of Titan Capital, which provides early-stage capital solutions to entrepreneurs, where he has invested in over 250 startups such as Ola Cabs, Urban Company, Razorpay, and Mamaearth.
He holds positions on the National Startup Advisory Council and the Board of Governors of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations. Moreover, Kunal chairs the Confederation of Indian Industry Startup Committee.
Kunal has received esteemed honors like the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Startup), Fortune Global 40 under 40, The Economic Times Entrepreneur of the Year,
His educational background includes graduation from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, holding degrees in engineering and business from the Wharton School.
Anisha Singh
Anisha Singh, an Indian entrepreneur is the founder of She Capital which was founded in 2018. This is an early-stage investment firm focusing on female-led startups. The firm aims to support and invest in businesses founded or co-founded by women entrepreneurs
She has previously established Mydala and Kinis Software Solutions after completing her MA and MBA at American University in Washington, D.C. Mydala was established in 2009 and is an online platform offering deals and discounts for various products and services
She's spoken at various international conferences on women-related topics. She has also received recognition for her work such as being named among the Top 100 Global Diversity Leaders in 2020, a Champion of Change in 2017, and among the 50 Most Influential Women in Asia in 2018. Additionally, she mentors within the Startup India programme initiated by the Government of India.
Manish Chowdhary
Manish Chowdhary began his journey after shutting down a computer business in 2013 and then starting Body Cupid Pvt Ltd and Wow Skin Science in 2014. He introduced these brands that blended modern scientific research with traditional Ayurvedic formulations. He envisioned a beauty and wellness brand representing India but with a global appeal.
Initially focused on dietary supplements, WOW shifted towards skincare and haircare. The immense success made them compete with industry giants like Nykaa, Mamaearth, SUGAR Cosmetics, and mCaffeine. Manish Chowdhary has always stressed their commitment to establishing a digital-first brand.
Manish Chowdhary went to The Frank Anthony and says that after he cleared his Class 12, he had his priorities set & hence he picked a college where classes ended by 11 a.m. allowing him time to work
