What Are Cupcakes?

Cupcakes are small cakes that are designed for 1 person to serve. Cupcakes were invented in the 19th century.

Cupcakes are much easier to bake than cakes. They take about 15-20 minutes to bake compared to 35-40 minutes for a cake and it almost tastes the same as a cake.
From basic to assorted cupcakes, they have all been in trend for a very long time.

Basic Cupcake Recipe

The Following Recipe Is Very Basic. You Can Use These Cupcakes For Birthdays, Parties, Anniversaries, Or Any Other Occasion. These Cupcakes Are Very Easy To Make Even For A Beginner. It Includes 6 Ingredients Which Are Easily Accessible To You In Your Kitchen.

• Makes - 24 cupcakes
• Time to prepare - 15 minutes
• Cooking time - 25 minutes
• Cheap and affordable ingredients are used

Ingredients

√ 250g Unsalted butter
√ 250g Castor sugar
√ 250g self-raising flour
√ 4 eggs
√ 4 tablespoons milk
√ Pinch of salt (Optional)

You will also need
√ 2×12 hole muffin tins with paper cases.

Method

Step 1 -  Start by preheating your oven at 190°C. Prepare and line both the trays with keeping 12 cupcakes on them.

Step 2 - Take a bowl and add butter and sugar together. Whisk it with a wooden spoon or an electric beater until it is fluffy and soft. Once done, add eggs, salt, flour, and milk. Mix until the mixture is smooth

Step 3 - Take a spoon or an ice cream scoop and take the batter and divide equally in all the molds.

Step 4 - Place the tray/ tins in the oven for 15 minutes after 15 minutes change the positions of the trays/ tins and bake for another 3-7 minutes until it's light golden brown.

Step 5 - Once done. Take out the trays/ tins from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Once cooled, the cupcakes are ready to eat and can be decorated.

After your cupcakes are ready you can decorate them as you like. use icing or cream cheese frosting or choco chips or chocolate to give it a different look and taste.
